Spring 2012

Social Graces

Grades 1-5

Make a WOW first impression. Be a good sport. Act as a gracious host and guest on a playdate or at a birthday party. In Social Graces, students will have a great time learning and practicing all of the common courtesies that will make them stand heads above the rest. We start with greetings and introductions, but include behavior for public places, street smarts, helping behaviors and showing proper respect. This is a wonderful and interactive way for children to continue learning about good manners. It will reinforce what you teach at home, yet has the added benefit of coming from someone other than Mom or Dad. Classes are focused on good manners and common courtesies that your child will use today and everyday

Class time: 6:30 – 7:30 PM

Cost: $50

Dates:  Wednesdays, February 15, 22, 29

Location: Mt. Airy Senior Center

Learn Table Manners While Enjoying a Delicious Four-Course Meal

In this three hour session, we will have fun learning the manners and art of mealtime.  We’ll cover everything from getting to know your place setting (Parents take note: this means that your child will be able to set the table for you every night for dinner!), sticky situations at meal time, mealtime behavior, handling utensils and the art of conversation at the table.  Instruction will be very hands-on, interactive and fun! The Brick Ridge will serve a scrumptious four -course meal to allow the kids to practice all they have learned.
